Privacy Policy

How Click Kitchens collects, uses and protects your personal information, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated 12 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information Click Kitchens collects when you visit our website, buy from us or get in touch, how we use it, who we share it with and what rights you have over it. We have tried to keep it in plain English. If anything is unclear, please email us at [email protected] and we will explain.

Who we are

Click Kitchens is a trading name of Clickdoors Kitchens and Bedrooms Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13770919. We sell replacement kitchen doors, kitchen units, panels and accessories through this website, click-kitchens.co.uk.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, Clickdoors Kitchens and Bedrooms Ltd is the “controller” of the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.

The information we collect

When you place an order

Your name, billing and delivery address, email address and phone number, the products you ordered (including any sizes, colours, finishes or measurements you specify for made-to-measure items), the order value, delivery instructions and your order history with us.

When you pay

Payments are taken by Stripe, not by us. Your card number is entered directly into Stripe’s secure payment fields and we never see or store your full card details. We receive confirmation that the payment succeeded or failed, the payment method type, the last four digits of the card and the billing details you supplied.

When you create an account

Your name, email address, username, a securely hashed password, and your saved addresses and order history. You can view and edit most of this yourself at any time from My Account.

When you contact us

If you use our contact form, email us, phone us or message us on social media, we collect your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us, for example the details of a kitchen you are planning, a quote request or a complaint, together with our reply.

When you sign up for offers

Your email address and, if you give it, your name, plus a record of when you subscribed and whether you have opened or clicked our emails.

When you simply browse

Like almost every website, ours records technical information automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the pages you viewed, the products you searched for or added to your basket, how you arrived at our site, and the date and time of your visit. Some of this comes from cookies and similar technologies, described in Cookies and similar technologies below.

We do not ask for, and do not want, special category data such as health information. Please do not send us this kind of information unless we specifically ask for it.

Why we use your information, and our legal basis

UK data protection law requires us to have a valid reason, called a “lawful basis”, for each way we use your information. Ours are set out below.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interest is outweighed by the effect on you. You can object to any of this processing, as explained in Your rights.

Marketing emails

If you subscribe to our list, or if you buy from us and we tell you at the time that we will email you about similar products, we will send you occasional emails about new ranges, finishes and offers. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing [email protected]. We will act on your request promptly.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop the emails we have to send about an order you have placed, such as order confirmations, delivery updates and refund notices.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them in the following ways.

  • Essential cookies. These make the site work: remembering what is in your basket, keeping you logged in, saving your cookie choices, and security and anti-fraud checks. This includes cookies set by Stripe when you pay and by Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our forms from spam and abuse. The site will not work properly without these, so they are set without asking.
  • Analytics cookies. These help us understand which pages and products people look at, how they found us and where they run into problems, so we can improve the site. We are not running any analytics tools at the moment. If we add one, such as Google Analytics, it will only be set with your consent.
  • Advertising cookies. These measure how well our adverts work and show our products to people who have visited our site. We are not running any advertising or measurement tools at the moment. If we add one, such as the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) pixel, it will only be set with your consent.

You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time through the cookie settings on our site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the shop from working. Useful guidance is available at ico.org.uk.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where we need to:

  • Stripe, to take and secure your payment and to process refunds and chargebacks.
  • Delivery companies and couriers, who receive the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your order.
  • Our manufacturers and suppliers, where an item is made or cut to your specification and needs to be produced or shipped directly.
  • Our website host and technology providers, including SiteGround (hosting), and the email, analytics and advertising providers described above, who process data on our instructions.
  • Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers, where they need it to advise us.
  • HMRC, regulators, the police or the courts, where the law requires it or to protect our rights.
  • A buyer or successor, if our business or part of it is sold or reorganised. Your information would pass to them under the same protections.

Suppliers who handle personal information on our behalf are bound by contract to use it only for the service they provide to us and to keep it secure.

Sending information outside the UK

Some of our providers, including Stripe and Cloudflare, are based outside the United Kingdom or store data outside it. Where information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on protections recognised by UK law, either an adequacy decision covering the country concerned or safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Orders, invoices and payment records: six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, because tax law requires it.
  • Account details: for as long as your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards if you ask us to close it, so that we can honour guarantees and handle any dispute.
  • Enquiries and correspondence: normally up to two years after our last contact, unless they relate to an order or a claim.
  • Marketing list: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a minimal record of your email address so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
  • Website and analytics data: typically up to 14 months, depending on the tool.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer identify you.

Keeping your information safe

Our site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, card payments are handled entirely by Stripe under the payment card industry’s security standards, passwords are stored in hashed form, and access to customer records is limited to people in our business who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take these obligations seriously and keep our protections under review.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erase your information, where we no longer have a good reason to keep it. We cannot delete records we must keep for tax purposes.
  • Restrict how we use your information while a query about it is resolved.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to stop direct marketing at any time. The right to stop direct marketing is absolute.
  • Portability: receive information you gave us in a machine-readable format, or have it sent to another provider.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] or write to us at the address above. We will respond within one month, and we will tell you if we need longer because the request is complex. We may ask you to confirm your identity first so that we do not disclose your information to someone else. Exercising your rights is free.

We do not use your information to make any decision about you purely by automated means.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection:

  • Website: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint
  • Helpline: 0303 123 1113
  • Post: Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF

Children

Our website and products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

Our site may link to other websites, such as social media pages or manufacturers’ sites. This policy does not cover them, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. Please read their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business, our website or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If we make a significant change to how we use your information, we will make that clear on the site or let you know directly.
